Thanks for visiting. The fact that you made it here means something β genuinely.
Goosie Labs was born out of curiosity. Around 2015, while working as an innovator at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, I stumbled across Bitcoin, the Lightning Network, and Nostr. It took the better part of a year before the pieces clicked into place. But once they did, I couldn't look away.
That obsession led me to write a book about blockchain technology. Writing it forced me to understand what I was talking about, and the more I understood, the more convinced I became that this was genuinely important. I became, in the nicest possible way, unemployable in a traditional sense.
I did two things: stacked as much bitcoin as I could, and looked for work where I could share the passion. I found it as a lecturer at Saxion University of Applied Sciences during COVID, teaching digital technology β with Bitcoin as one of the central topics. When the world opened back up and commuting meant three hours of travel per day, I lasted about a year before I was done.
From workaholic to free time overnight. The transition required reinvention.
Piano, harmonica, guitar. Still learning. Probably always will be.
Bitcoin, Lightning, Nostr. The rabbit hole with no bottom.
Swim 3Γ/week, run 2Γ/week, Yang-style Tai Chi every day.
Twice a week I cycle alongside people who can't ride independently β through Fietsmaatjes. It's one of those things that gives back more than it costs.
The Bitcoin hobby grew into a need for real infrastructure β a place to run experiments with open-source software. I'd used the nickname "Goose" for years, so I built on that. When I started working with AI agents, they needed names and identities too. The geese multiplied. The lab took shape. I work on it almost every day. This is a hobby, not a business.
β οΈ Important β please readI will never ask you for money. Not in a DM, not in public, never. If someone contacts you claiming to be me and asks for investment money β it's a scam.
The same goes for seed phrases and private keys. Keep them to yourself. The answer is always no.
Payments in the apps are real but tiny β 21 sats maximum, just to experience how it works. Play with them.
If you want to send a few sats, here's where they land:
